About the event
Meditation is a wide subject with a long history and many traditions and variations, but essentially it means calming and concentrating the mind. The benefits of meditation for common problems such as stress, anxiety, depression and insomnia have been extensively researched recently. In this workshop we will focus on the 3 types of meditation in yoga and how they link to other mediation techniques such as mindful meditation. Finally, you will be guided through a wholesome practice including breath awareness, yoga postures, and a final meditation. Handouts will be provided and you will get access to a recording of the session.
