A new year in sight, a new opportunity to take a breath and reflect on where we want to go next. It happens too easily that we are aimlessly drifting through time like a leaf blown around by invisible forces instead of following our own plans.

In this workshop you will have the time and space to reflect and plant a seed for 2019. Maybe a little project you’d like to tackle, a big plan you want to put into place or a dream you would like to follow. Using coaching techniques as well as techniques from the yoga tradition, you will be able to plant your seed and have strategies in place to make it grow and florish. You will also be guided through a nurturing Yin Yoga practice, finishing with a guided visualisation and relaxation.  All levels of practitioners are welcome to attend.

Detox, Destress, and Re-energise

It is just too easy to rush from month to month, from year to year, without taking a break, feeling depleted and lost as a result.

In this workshop you will have the time and space to reflect, connect, and recharge your batteries so that you can move on to the new year with renewed energy and confidence. You will be guided through a wholesome class including poses which will help gently detoxify, stretch and strengthen the whole body. This is followed by restorative yin postures which will further relax the body and calm the mind. We finish with a guided yoga nidra meditation to support the process of saying goodbye to the past year and welcoming the year ahead. All levels of practitioners are welcome to attend.

Yoga for Managing Stress

All of us experience stress in different forms in our life, and stress is a major source of ill-health and unhappiness. Stress is not necessarily bad but when things seem to run out of control it is good to know how to help yourself.

In this workshop you will learn about the effects of stress on the body and mind and find out about common advice for managing stress. You will then be guided through an extended nurturing yoga practice combining a dynamic flow with still yin yoga to regulate the effects of stress on the body, learn a breathing technique to calm the nerves and practice mindful meditation to clear the mind.

All levels of practitioners are welcome to attend.

I have been a stress counsellor for over twelve years and have supported people facing both work-related and personal challenges. My workshops combine the ancient teachings with the currently recommended therapeutic principles of cognitive-behavioural therapy CBT (which have surprising similarities).

As yoga has become more and more popular as a way to promote fitness and general wellbeing, so has its importance for the corporate sector increased.
